NANCY REAGAN:

I’ll like to take this opportunity to thank our musical director and my very good friend Marvin Hamlisch. Throughout these concerts (seven) — first o all, I don’t know what I’d have done without him, but throughout these concerts he’s done a great job.”

MARVIN HAMLISCH:

I want to thank you very much. I’m really thrilled. We started out with one concert and ended up doing seven, and I don’t really want to be pushy, but if you notice in all these shows we keep doing, you know, Porter, Sondheim, Rodgers, and we’ve never done a ‘HAMLISCH’ song here. Since it’s the last concert I was thinking you are so influential here, I mean, couldn’t they just to of of my songs?”

(THE AUDIENCE AGREES)

NANCY REAGAN:

Well, I think Marvin has a point.”
(To Ronald Reagan: “What do you think?” )

RONALD REAGAN:

I think you are right. Can we just do “ONE”? ”
