NYC: The award-winning cast of the 2012 world premiere production of the musical The Nutty Professor (Music by the late Marvin Hamlisch and lyrics by Rupert Holmes) reunited with other Broadway favorites to perform the legend’s final complete score in concert for the FIRST TIME EVER in New York City on February 15^th, 2016.

In 2012, The Nutty Professor played a critically acclaimed out-of-town run in Nashville, directed by Jerry Lewis, with book and lyrics by Tony award winner Rupert Holmes, and score by PEGOT winner Marvin Hamlisch, who passed away unexpectedly one week after opening night.

Based on the original film starring Mr. Lewis, The Nutty Professor tells the story of Julius Kelp, a social-misfit egghead college Professor, who becomes committed to changing himself for the better after meeting progressive and idealistic transfer student Stella Purdy. He concocts a potion that transforms him into a crooner, the suave and slick Buddy Love. His radical solution for a personal upgrade works, but not as he or anyone could have predicted.
