THROUGH THE EYES OF LOVE WITH SCENE FR FILM

The Marvin Hamlisch / Carole Bayer Sager -penned theme peaked at a disappointing No. 76 on the Hot 100 the following week and remained on the chart for just four weeks. It was a bigger hit on AC radio stations and peaked at No. 13 on the Billboard AC Chart. It was Manchester’s 7th of 15 Hot 100 singles which included seven Top 40’s and three Top Tens. Manchester was a former backup singer for Bette Midler before her solo singer/songwriting singles began to chart in 1975 with her debut single, “Midnight Blue,” written by Manchester and Bayer Sager. It peaked at No. 5 on the Hot 100 and enjoyed a two‐week run at No. 1 on the Billboard AC Chart.
